Egyptian authorities are also following the condition of the injured driver. Egyptian media reports said the medical team treating him had determined that he required urgent surgery.

The Egyptian ambassador also met with the governor of Khartoum, who visited to offer condolences and check on the condition of the injured Egyptian citizen.

Arrangements to Repatriate the Bodies

Egyptian authorities are working to complete the necessary procedures to repatriate the bodies of the two deceased drivers, in coordination with Sudanese authorities.
